Beth Citron


Beth Citron is the Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Rubin Museum in New York. She is the organiser of the exhibition "Genesis Breyer P-Orridge: Try To Altar Everything," opening at the Rubin Museum in March 2016, and is working with Soundwalk Collective on a new commission for the Museum to premiere in November 2016. In 2014 she organised "Francesco Clemente: Inspired by India" and "Witness at a Crossroads: Photographer Marc Riboud in Asia." She also organised the three-part exhibition series "Modernist Art from India" (2011-2013) and, with Rahaab Allana of the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts, "Allegory and Illusion: Early Portrait Photography from South Asia" (2013). She received her PhD on Contemporary Art in Bombay, 1965-1995, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009.
